Artists like to experiment. They’re restless creatures that can’t help but cross wires and, of course, mix media. Some use traditional materials in tandem, while others incorporate concrete, concert tickets, or whatever else sparks their curiosity.
Black & White
There is a line in the Tao te Ching that reads, “Colors blind the eye, sounds deafen the ear.” Colors are powerful, and as a result can drown out other visual elements such as light, texture, form and line. The black and white palette is dramatic in it’s simplicity, and as such, is easy on the eyes.

Orbs in the Sky
In honor of the upcoming eclipse, I thought it appropriate to celebrate our celestial neighbors. The sun and moon certainly loom large in our psyche, and when they collide, the whole world can’t help but stop and look.
