RSG Fall Show and 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration

August 15, 2019

Save the date for the start of an exciting season of events!

Preparations are underway for our next RSG member artists’ show, where we will be displaying more than 200 new works from our outstanding group of artists and a series of events marking the Diamond Anniversary of the Rental Sales Gallery.

To celebrate 60 years in operation, the afternoon will include artists talks and champagne refreshments. Talks will conclude at 4:30pm and we will have a celebratory toast at 5:30pm. Join the festivities decked out in sparkles or white dress, to commemorate 60 years.

Keep an eye on our website’s Events page and Facebook page for additional exciting events scheduled in November and December. We are looking forward to celebrating in style and commemorating the history of this gallery.

We’re very excited to mark this special occasion. It’s an opportunity for us not only to celebrate the hundreds of artists that RSG has represented since 1959, but also the staff and volunteers who have worked so hard to make this gallery a success and a key part of Portland’s cultural landscape.

We hope that you will be able to join us on Saturday October 19th for this day of fun, discovery and beautiful art. Please spread the word!

The Rental Sales Gallery, Portland Art Museum recognizes and honors the Indigenous peoples of this region on whose ancestral lands the museum now stands.

These include the Willamette Tumwater, Clackamas, Kathlemet, Molalla, Multnomah and Watlala Chinook Peoples and the Tualatin Kalapuya who today are part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and many other Native communities who made their homes along the Columbia River.

We also want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities - past, present, future - and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
