Apologies to John Huston and “Treasure of the Sierra Madre” for appropriation in our title. But it seemed a good fit.
I’d guess that most people when they think of “Art,” imagine oil paintings hung on gallery walls. Oh, there are sculptures, of course, and I’ve included a couple of those here, but this gallery is jam-packed with other art that is not made with paint and brush. There’s charcoal, wood and glass, wire mesh, fabric, and photography, to name just a few of the media our creative artists use. How about that steel wire mesh, all bent by hand with a few modeling tools; or the intricate use of a sewing machine to add fine detail to a quilted work? You’ll find these and others here.
