Fall Show & 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration – just a week away!

October 12, 2019

Our fabulous launch event for our Fall Show and 60th Anniversary Celebration is just a week away!

We hope that you can join us on Saturday October 19th from noon – 7pm for the opening, where we will be showcasing over 250 newly-selected works from our outstanding member artists. All of the works will be available for rent and purchase, so don’t miss out!

To celebrate 60 years in operation, the afternoon will include artist talks, demonstrations, and Champagne refreshments. The artist talks will be from noon-4pm, with a champagne toast and party to continue from 5-7pm.

Come dressed in party attire! It’ll be sparkles, white, or cream for 60 years.

We are delighted to announce that there will be talks and demos from some of our longest-serving member artists. Joining us will be:

  • 12-1pm: Sarkis Antikajian, Bill Baily, Patty Bentley,  & Jon Jay Cruson

The Rental Sales Gallery, Portland Art Museum recognizes and honors the Indigenous peoples of this region on whose ancestral lands the museum now stands.

These include the Willamette Tumwater, Clackamas, Kathlemet, Molalla, Multnomah and Watlala Chinook Peoples and the Tualatin Kalapuya who today are part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and many other Native communities who made their homes along the Columbia River.

We also want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities - past, present, future - and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
