Bernard Kliks often uses the landscape as a jumping off point in his work. Rock and sandstone formations at Point Lobos State Park lend themselves to abstract ideas, while the bamboo in his backyard shows up literally and figuratively in his work. Many of his actual landscapes are, however, figments of his imagination, trying to capture some architectural elements combined with a little “softness” suggesting plant material.
Bernard will be in the gallery for our Print Sale Saturday January 26th from 11:00 to 2:00 demonstrating the monoprint process. This demonstration is free and open to the public, all are welcome to join.
