The Spring Show 2019

May 4, 2019

We are delighted to say that the launch of the Spring Show 2019 was a tremendous success for the gallery and our artists. Friday’s opening night saw the gallery packed with patrons and artists, and many of the 200 new works were snapped up that night for both purchase and rent. We would like to extend a big thank you to all of our volunteers who worked so hard not only preparing the gallery for the show, but also on the night itself.

We followed up the opening night with a record-breaking weekend to top off a fabulous April month. If you didn’t make the show there are still many new works on display. If you don’t want to miss seeing the best in new and local art, be sure to come and visit the gallery very soon!

As you can see from the photographs, our Salon-style display has the gallery looking beautiful. Thank you to our volunteer Dasa Obereigner for taking these awesome photographs on opening night. We are extremely grateful.

We look forward to welcoming you all to the gallery in the very near future. If you would like to see additional works not shown here, be sure to check out our Artists information page on the website.

The Rental Sales Gallery, Portland Art Museum recognizes and honors the Indigenous peoples of this region on whose ancestral lands the museum now stands.

These include the Willamette Tumwater, Clackamas, Kathlemet, Molalla, Multnomah and Watlala Chinook Peoples and the Tualatin Kalapuya who today are part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and many other Native communities who made their homes along the Columbia River.

We also want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities - past, present, future - and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
