Art in all forms can express metaphors for our lives, and as such, showcases reminders of why we create as a means of communication. While Portland and our beautiful state offers many lovely vistas that inspire our local artists, looking around the Gallery one will notice several images of bridges connecting land to land. They demonstrate the strength of modern technology, the beauty of architectural design, and they remind us of the importance of connection both in our physical landscape and in our relationships. Making connections with one another is a little more challenging these days, but several alternatives serve to keep us close to those important in our lives. We’d like to offer this blog as a metaphor and reminder of how important staying connected is as we move forward, working together, to embrace change and perhaps explore new vistas.
