Spread Love, Gratitude and Compassion

February 9, 2021

It’s that time of year again when love is celebrated along with all the warm reds, fuchsias and pinks showcased in flowers, hearts and embraces.  Given our visual ability to share, we’d like to chime in on that theme, but also include some inspiration for hope, for expressed compassion, and gratitude for our talented artists who bring so much joy, into our homes and spaces.  As many of us are still working or harboring at home, it’s the perfect time to spice up your home or new home office decor with local original art!  Rent something uplifting for your loved ones, or consider sending a gift certificate for art.  With so many offerings, and new works coming in monthly, you’re sure to find something to beautify your space.  Visit our artist page to search for art by style, size, medium or price. Or, visit us in person by calling or messaging ahead for an appointment to view works in the Gallery Tuesday through Saturday, 11-5pm. We are keeping the person count to a minimum and we’re happy to schedule your visit so you can have the Gallery to yourself with staff only. Please bring your mask. Hope to see you soon!

With love, and gratitude for all your support from the Rental Sales staff.  Enjoy our selection here:

The Rental Sales Gallery, Portland Art Museum recognizes and honors the Indigenous peoples of this region on whose ancestral lands the museum now stands.

These include the Willamette Tumwater, Clackamas, Kathlemet, Molalla, Multnomah and Watlala Chinook Peoples and the Tualatin Kalapuya who today are part of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, and many other Native communities who made their homes along the Columbia River.

We also want to recognize that Portland today is a community of many diverse Native peoples who continue to live and work here. We respectfully acknowledge and honor all Indigenous communities - past, present, future - and are grateful for their ongoing and vibrant presence.
